Michael Gold is the Chairman of the Board and acting President of the Company. Mr. Gold moved to the United States from England in 1966. He was a partner in M&R Development until 1980 building both commercial and residential space in Miami, Florida. In 1982 Mr. Gold became President of Vectrix Corporation, a computer graphics company in Greensboro NC. He raised $3 million dollars in venture capital and developed sales to $10 million before the company was acquired. In 1983 he was co-founder of Triad Bank in Greensboro N.C. raising more than $10 million dollars in equity, and served on the Board of Directors. In 1984 Mr. Gold was appointed President of ITI Graphics, a Silicone Valley Software Company that after a successful restructure was merged with Everex Computers. From 1985 until 1991 Mr. Gold was President of the Rothchilde Group, a business management and consulting company. Since 1991 Mr. Gold has been engaged in real estate management and development in South Florida. He was nominated in 2007 by the South Florida Business Journal for the Developer of the Year award for the ICE project. Mr. Gold has a Bachelors Degree from St. Martins College in London, England.
Paul King is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board. Previously he was a founding partner at G.C. Media, Inc. Prior to G.C. Media, Mr. King was the founder and C.E.O. of International Sales Team Realty. During his tenure, International Sales Team Realty grew to $40 million in sales in two years. Mr. King expanded International Sales Team Realty by developing Chase Mortgage Center and New Wave Title Company. Mr. King has been featured in Fox Business News, NBC, MediaWeek, and has been quoted and featured on a number of news and media outlets. Mr. King is a summa cum laude graduate of Carnegie Mellon University.
Marc is the EVP of Sales and Marketing for Hercules Networks. Prior to Hercules, Marc was co-founder and Senior Vice President of NYC based Airborne Entertainment Ltd., one of the few non-traditional, out-of-home video advertising entities with a global travel focus. Airborne, founded in May 2002, was the exclusive producer and distributor of MetroVue™ in-flight destination programming and served as one of the few in-flight new media specialists within the airline and travel industry. Marc helped drive the company from a true start up to a successful niche out-of-home media company with a worldwide footprint. Prior to Airborne, Marc enjoyed a successful 14-year career as an executive with some of the largest and most respected names within the media and entertainment industries including SONY, Time Warner, Univision and Hallmark Entertainment.
Catherine Renner, Executive VP, Conferences and Event, brings considerable international experience in advertising and project management. Ms. Renner brings over 20 years of creative and managerial expertise to Hercules Networks. During her long career, Ms. Renner has worked extensively in the USA, UK and Japan in a range of capacities within marketing, advertising and software development. In 1986, she joined Dentsu-Young & Rubicam Advertising, New York as an Assistant Creative Director and subsequently became a Production Manager at CJA Advertising on Madison Avenue in the early 90s. She rejoined Dentsu in 1994 as an Associate Producer in Tokyo. From 1998 until 2002, Ms. Renner was a Project Manager for Software Development at Cyactive Software Ltd., Manchester, England and later appointed Marketing-Communications Director. From 2002, until 2006, Ms. Renner was a Management Consultant with Hammatan Ventures LLC of Vienna, VA playing a crucial role in the network deployment of MTN (Mobile Telecommunications Network) in Nigeria. In 2005, she created Breezin.biz’™, an online lifestyle e-zine for busy professionals and subsequently became (with Michael Gold) the founding partner of Whateverdirect.com a localized search engine. Ms. Renner holds a BA degree in Communications from American University, Washington DC. She graduated in 1984 and spent the following post-grad year on the Masters program in Corporate Public Relations also at American University.
Charles Weeks, C.P.A. is the acting Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Weeks brings more than 18 years of corporate experience to the Company as a previous CFO, controller, consultant and board member to various small, medium and Fortune 500 public and private companies. Mr. Weeks is currently serving as a Managing Director for an international financial firm in Sunrise, Florida where he is in charge of business development for companies throughout southeast Florida. Mr. Weeks was a senior financial consultant from late 2005 through 2006, where he consulted for notable companies such as AutoNation and American Media working on projects involving Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC reporting, restatements, writing policies and procedures and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Weeks was the Chief Financial Officer for Lapolla Industries during 2005, a public manufacturing company listed on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol LPA. Before that, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ad Management Systems, Inc. from 2003 to 2004, a kiosk media advertising company located in Pompano Beach, Florida. From 2002 to 2003, Mr. Weeks was the Controller of Lodging.com, who at the time was the world’s 4th largest hotel wholesale company located in Boca Raton, FL. Mr. Weeks attended Clemson University in Clemson, SC where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and completed an internship with KPMG. He obtained his CPA license from Maryland and is currently an active member in both the AICPA and MACPA.
Mike Bowman, C.P.A. is the acting Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Mr. Bowman has over 20 years experience as a finance and operations professional. After earning his MBA in Finance and Masters in Accounting from the University of Iowa in 1988, Mr. Bowman worked at Coopers & Lybrand (Chicago) in the audit and consulting groups. He served 10 years at Sears Roebuck and Co., most recently as the acting CFO of GlobalNetXchange, a retail industry B2B owned by a consortium of top 20 international retailers, and named by Forbes magazine as “one of the most promising” (July 2000). He also served as Controller for the IT Group at Sears managing a $600 million IT budget with 85 departments and 1700 associates. He was a member of the Sears Corporate Finance Council responsible for all aspects of corporate planning, coordination and reporting. Recently Mr. Bowman has consulted with several Fortune 1000 companies where he has directed operational, financial and Sarbanes-Oxley projects. Mr. Bowman obtained his CPA license in Iowa, and also earned a Bachelors of Science from Southern Illinois University majoring in both Economics and Marketing.
William J. Moran joined Hercules Networks in 2008 as Vice President of National Advertising and brings over 13 years of experience in sales and marketing. Mr. Moran began his media career in the online arena, where he delivered the best in lead generation, contextual advertising, SEO and SEM, opt-in-email, web based media, and other online opportunities. His role quickly expanded to the print medium, where he managed direct response, career, continuing education, travel, Real Estate and special advertising in some of America’s premier publications. In 2001, Mr. Moran switched gears and accepted a position in TV Sales with NCC, which allowed him to become more well rounded in the media industry. He worked on a local and national level and was responsible for three top 10 markets; Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC. To further his role in the national marketplace, he then joined USA Studios which allowed him to secure and cultivate stronger tie-ins with the agency community.
